Welcome to Fourth Grade!
This is my 25th year of teaching, my eleventh year in 4th Grade, and my seventh year at St. John Paul II. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Elementary Education and a Math endorsement from Eastern Kentucky University. My teaching focuses on Math, Science, and of course Religion.
I am truly blessed to be able to teach at St. John Paul II. JPII students are such willing learners and the families are wonderful to work with. I also treasure the opportunity to work with and learn from amazing administrators, teachers, and staff. Being able to pray with and accompany my students to Mass every week is something I truly cherish.
Fourth grade is such a fun year! Students will get to continue building upon their Math and Reading skills, learn all about Indiana History, grow in their faith, and truly get to explore what the Science world is all about. It is also a year where they take on more responsibility for their academics and behavior, as well as grow independently.
My husband, Ronnie and I have two children, Logan and Emma. They are both graduates of St. Paul (now known as JPII) and Providence High School. Logan graduated from Bellarmine University and is a Physical Therapist for ProRehab in New Albany. Emma graduated from Indiana University and gives her time and talents to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. I have a ‘grandpup’, which the students will come to know and love, named Ozzy.
My teaching goal is to always provide a warm and inviting, fun-loving learning environment, while maintaining a high level of education expectation, fostering life-long learners.
I am looking forward to another great year at JPII.
