Hello, my name is Mary Eurton. This is my 23rd year here at St. John Paul II Catholic School. I am currently the classroom assistant for the Kindergarten class of Mrs. Bean. I enjoy working with the very youngest energetic learners in our school to the more mature learning leaders of our school.
My husband, Jim and I have been married for 39 years. We have been blessed with four children and six grandchildren. David, our oldest son, graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, TN and works for Cummins in Seymour. Our daughter Amanda, Graduated from Ball State with a teaching degree, and I am PROUD to say she is one of OUR very own Middle School teachers, Mrs. Sumpter!!! My other daughter, Emily, graduated from Ivy Tech and works at Lee & Mason Financial Services, and our youngest son, Brian, graduated from St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, IN. He is employed by Crane Naval Base.
As you can tell I am very proud of my family. Three of our children attended grade school here at St. John Paul II Catholic School. Yes, we had to sacrifice some things to make that decision but it was all worth it to see what strong, successful, Christian adults they have become. We are lifelong parish members, attending at the St. Joe Hill Campus. I taught First Grade Religious Ed. Classes there on Sunday mornings for 22 years. I have strong beliefs in a catholic education and feel very fortunate and blessed to be able to work at JPII and work with your children. I love the fact that I can use any opportunity I have to teach a Christian value or WWJD (what wouldJesus do?), whether it’s working side by side a child in the classroom or in the middle of a kickball game!
I love to spend time with my family, try new restaurants and shopping! I enjoy gardening and doing things outdoors. I am also a Mary Kay Consultant. (My spare time keeps me busy!) I feel truly blessed to be a part of St. John Paul II Catholic School and all that we have to offer. Through my years here as a parent and as a staff member, I have seen many changes. I must say, “JPll just keeps getting better and better”! The faculty and staff that we have make it a fun learning environment filled with strong Christian values.
