Hi! My name is Sarah Gahagen, and I am thrilled to be the Cafeteria Director for St. John Paul II! I previously spent almost 5 years working in the cafeteria at Providence High School, and I served first as the assistant cafeteria manager, and then as the director for 3 of those years.
I grew up in the Detroit are attending Catholic schools for my entire education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and I worked in automotive engineering before relocating to New Albany and having children. I’ve been married to my husband, Chris Gahagen, for almost 20 years, and we have four children: Margaret, 16, and a junior at Providence; and Phillip (14, 8th grade), Kathleen (12, 6th grade), and Julianna (10, 4th grade), all at OLPH. We stay very busy with sports, dance, theatre, and other assorted activities!
I also have been a dancer my entire life. I’ve been teaching tap, ballet, and jazz for 22 years, and I enjoy choreographing musicals. Currently, I teach tap at Drake Dance Academy and choreograph the Providence Deanery Junior musical in the spring.
