My name is Courtney Cooper. I began teaching in 2005 and joined the wonderful staff at St. John Paul II in 2007. I’ve taught Kindergarten, 5th grade, 6th grade, Spanish, and this will be my fifth year teaching English Language Arts to our middle school students. I finished my Master’s degree at Indiana University Southeast in 2008, my Plus 30 in 2009, and earned a Reading certification at that same time.
My goal is to create a learning environment in which all students are successful and reach their highest potential. I use many different teaching techniques so that I may reach all students and their learning styles. I strive to make my classroom a Christ-centered, safe, and inviting place where students want to discover new things and be involved in the learning process.
My husband Jonathan and I have been married since 2005. We enjoy traveling, playing with our kids, and spending time with our family and friends. We have been blessed with five wonderful children Delaney, Camden, Millie, Wemberly, and Cason. As graduates of Holy Family Catholic School (Jonathan) and St. Paul Catholic School (Courtney) we both realize and appreciate the value of Catholic education. Delaney is in 7th grade, Camden is in 4th grade, and Millie is in 2nd grade here at JPII. We love being a part of the church community here at St. John Paul II. I am so thankful for a job that I love and I thank God each day for the opportunity to be here!
