Hello! My name is April Clark. I am one of the Second grade teachers here at St. John Paul II Catholic School. This year will be my 15th year of teaching! What I love most about teaching is watching students grow in confidence, faith, knowledge, and ability throughout the year.
I am a St. Paul Catholic School alumni and I am thrilled to be surrounded by my St. Paul/St. John Paul II family again as a teacher! I attended the University of Southern Indiana where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, the career I had been dreaming of since I was two years old!
While in Evansville for college, I met my husband, Matt. After my college graduation, we moved back to my hometown of Sellersburg, often traveling to visit Matt's family in Evansville. We have a ten year old son, Miles, who will be in 5th Grade and a seven year old son, Henry, who will be in 2nd Grade here at JPII! We are members of St. John Paul II Catholic Church and outside of teaching, I love to read, go boating, play with my sons, and spend time with my family.
I love the start of the school year, with the possibility for great growth, knowledge, and building of our faith ahead of us! I also look forward to working with and getting to know each of my students' parents. Working together on not only daily learning, but also through struggles that might arise, gives us the opportunity to build a team that will help your student be the most successful they can be! The best way to reach me is via email at [email protected]. If there is an emergency, you can call the school office at 812-246-3266.
