Dixon Romney is a Southern Indiana native and former public school teacher with 17 years experience teaching children. Dixon lives with his wife, Denise, and together they have 5 boys: Nathan, Parker, Grayson, Grant, and Garrett.
With a B.S. from Brigham Young University and a Masters from IUS, Dixon is also a professional leadership coach. His experience both in public school and international leadership coaching brings an exceptional opportunity to students at JPII.
Having lived and taught in Mexico, and having spent a combined 2 1/2 years immersed among the Latin American people, Mr. Romney helps students get an education on the Spanish language with the added benefit of learning how the culture of our Spanish-speaking neighbors plays a role in their own lives. Through conversation, music and literature, students come to understand their role in creating understanding between people of different language backgrounds. And, with focus and practice, students leave JPII prepared to at least understand and share a little more about their lives in a second language.
