Hi! My name is Linda Knoll and I am very excited to begin my fifth school year at St. John Paul II School working in learning support services. I assist teachers with students who need additional instructional support. I graduated from Saint Louis University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and History. I am certified in Indiana and Missouri to teach Social Studies (grades 5-12.) I also earned a Master of Arts degree in Information Science and Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri in 2001. I was certified as a Library Media Specialist (grades K-12) in 2000. I taught high school world history and geography for 4 years and then I worked as a high school librarian for 4 years at a Catholic girls school in St. Louis, MO. In 2004, our oldest son was born, so I took time off from education to raise our three children. In 2011, I began volunteering as a librarian and literacy support volunteer at our parish school in Fenton, MO. In 2015, I began substitute teaching at a private Catholic elementary school in Frontenac, MO. In 2016, my family and I moved from Missouri to Indiana for my husband's work. We enrolled our three children, James (10th grade at Providence), Henry (8th), and Tess (5th) at St. John Paul II School in 2016. And in Jan. 2017, I began teaching in the learning support services department at St. John Paul II School. I feel so blessed to be an active part of this wonderful school and faith community! I feel privileged to be able to help the students at our school grow in their knowledge, skills, and confidence.
On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Dan, for 22 years. We moved to New Albany, IN from Missouri in 2016 for my husband's work. In addition to our three kids, we also have two cats. In my free time, I enjoy reading, photography, music, cooking and baking, camping, visiting amusement parks, traveling, and spending time with my family. I look forward to getting to know more families at St. John Paul II this year and helping build God's kingdom here in Sellersburg!
