My name is Ben Chisman. I am very excited to be teaching Middle School Mathematics at St. John Paul II. I have eight years of teaching experience--the first four were as a high school math and physics teacher and for the last four years I taught math here at St. John Paul II. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Mississippi and earned my Masters of Education degree from the University of Louisville.
I have been married to Laura for 17 years and we have two children. Tara (JPII alum) is entering the 10th grade at Charlestown High School and Wyatt will be a 7th grader at JPII. We are members of St. John Paul II parish. When I'm not teaching, I love to run, bike and swim. I have been active in coaching track at St. John Paul II as well as cross country for the Southern Indiana Catholic Cross Country team.
As we continue to build and grow our middle school, we take on the responsibility of preparing your children to be ready for the rigors of high school. I look forward to helping the students grow in both academics and character so that they will become confident and successful young adults and beyond.
